Position Summary: The Innkeeper is responsible for all Manitou guests' relations, including satisfaction/resolution of any issues to exceed expectations. This position will also ensure an inviting atmosphere for all guests, neat and tidy common areas, oversee maintenance and building upkeep, and provide breakfast and afternoon snacks. The Innkeeper is responsible for hiring, training, and managing either a part-time Assistant Innkeeper or a part-time Guest Services Associate. 

The individual will be based at the Manitou Lodge.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Coordinate guest pre-arrival, check-in, stay, and departure details.
  • Register guest vehicles using the Town of Telluride online parking portal system. 
  • Set up and clean up daily breakfast and afternoon snacks, restock/replenish throughout service as necessary, and be responsible for ordering and stocking all food supplies.  
  • Respond to and resolve guest service requests and property issues via work order entry and follow-up; provide guests additional linen or amenities as requested. 
  • Maintain a clean and neat office, housekeeping closet, and common areas.  Common areas include interior hallways, patio/deck, exterior walkways, common area kitchen and bathroom, stairs, ski locker/garden area.  
  • Communicate and send a cleaning schedule to the housekeeping team as needed.
  • Perform pre-arrival inspections of clean rooms.
  • Execute basic repairs on the property, such as light bulb replacement, trash removal, and troubleshooting of wifi routers, TVs, appliances, thermostats, etc. 
  • Coordinate vendors or perform landscaping tasks such as weeding, lawn mowing, watering flowers, shoveling snow, removing ice, cleaning trash, and handling patio furniture.
  • Recommend and schedule routine maintenance as well as larger-scale projects.
  • Exhibit strong knowledge of Telluride and the surrounding area to promote additional activities and services. 
  • Responsible for building a strong relationship with the Manitou Lodge owner and active communication/follow-up on projects and tasks.
  • Review and approve monthly owner statements.
  • Hire, train, and manage a part-time Assistant Innkeeper or a part-time Guest Services Associate. 
  • And other duties as assigned. 
Essential Job Requirements
EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalent experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Three years of customer service experience with a background in property management preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Flexible work schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.  Must be highly organized, top-level customer service, excellent communication skills, polite, patient, and knowledgeable of the hospitality industry and property management.
PREFERRED SKILLS: Attention to detail, politeness, patience, ability to handle food safely
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to ascend/descend stairs and lift/carry/push/pull 20 pounds

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
